ONJ-Luxembourg-Pit-Brosius-Mierscher-Kulturhaus

Born in 1993, Pit Brosius is a young conductor from Luxembourg who has shared the stage with internationally renowned soloists such as Johannes Moser and Alena Baeva, with whom he recently recorded Beethoven’s Violin Concerto.
In 2020, he was selected for the “Gabriel Pierné International Conducting Masterclass” with the Orchestre National de Metz.

In addition to his role as Principal Conductor of the National Youth Orchestra of Luxembourg (ONJ) and the chamber ensemble sonasKUNE, Pit Brosius is a regular guest conductor with United Instruments of Lucilin and Kammerata Luxembourg, and has also worked with the Orchestre de Chambre du Luxembourg, among others.

He is the regular assistant to conductor David Reiland and has assisted in productions such as Cinq Mars (Oper Leipzig), La Bohème (Opera Zuid, Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg), Die Zauberflöte (Opéra de Saint-Étienne), and Iliade l’amour (Betsy Jolas, CNSMDP).

Pit completed his studies in conducting and bassoon at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and the Conservatorium Maastricht. Since 2019, he has been teaching bassoon and orchestral conducting at the Conservatoire du Nord.
